The statistics unit starts as an introduction to the methods of statistics:  sampling. survey methods, and assessing results.
The first group of handouts introduces the students to the topics using the site  Statistics: Power From Data,  a resource from Statistics Canada.  Students are also introduced to EStat.  Finally students particiate in the Census At School.  They use this experience to analyse the survey's design, as well as a source of data for calculations.
